Ultrabikes’ New Electric Cycle NVC Fire Edition Launched, Price and Features

Ultrabikes present the all-new NVC Fire. After the huge success of NVC, the company launched its successor NVC the Fire edition. There are lots of changes and improvements have been made to this, and also the company has introduced a massive 20Ah battery option with this new edition. So let’s see what are the changes and improvements have made to this new Fire edition.

Design And Build Quality:

Unlike NVC, The Fire Edition comes with a standard frameset design. The company has used 3d radium stickers for the logo, and due to radium, it glows in darks. The bike is available in four colors such as red, blue, black, and white. As far as build quality is concerned, the bike comes with the same frame materials as the NVC. The bike comes with an 18″ frame that is made of mild steel. The joints and welding are good and the overall body structure is solid and robust in nature. The bike weighs only 22kg with a carrying capacity of up to 120kg.

Motor With Better Controller:

Although the bike runs on a 36v/250w BLDC rear hub motor, but as the company has upgraded its controller from 14A to 16A, the overall performance of the motor as well as the bike are much better than the NVC. The new motor generates up to 45nm torque, and due to high torque, the bike is able to climb hilly roads, and fly over easily. Well, the claimed top speed of the bike is 33kmph, but in general, you will get around 30kmph of speed.

Bigger Battery And Its Range:

With this new Fire Edition the company has introduced a massive 20Ah battery pack and on an average that gives you around 70km to 90km on a single charge. Well, the bike is powered by a default 10Ah Lithium-ion removable battery pack. But if you wish you can upgrade the default battery with 13Ah, 15Ah, and 20Ah as well. These all are lithium batteries that provide up to 1000 charging cycles. For charging, the company provides 3A fast charger for all its variants.

Pedal Assist And Riding Mode:

NVC had only a single level of pedal-assist and many customers were unhappy with it. So on customers demand, the company now with this Fire Edition has introduced 5 levels of assistance with the dustproof sensor. The same can be controlled by a multi-function backlit LCD display that was not present on the NVC. Even unlike the NVC, the company now enabled the cruise and walk mode with this new edition.

Wheels And Suspension:

There are no changes have made to wheels and suspension. The new NVC Fire comes with the same 27.5″ wheels combined with double-walled alloy rims. There are 2.35″ MTB tires that perform well on Indian terrains. There is a front fork suspension that has a travel of 100mm. The travel of the suspension is smooth and is good for bumpy roads and potholes, even the off-roading performance will be much better than its predecessor.

Gear System And Brakes:

NVC Fire is also a multi-speed geared electric cycle like its predecessor. The bike comes with a 7-speed Shimano gear system with a Tourney rear derailleur and TX30 shifters. The performance of the gear is good and best suited for this kind of entry-level ebikes. Even gears in ebikes help to ride the bike easily with less effort even in case of power loss. For the braking system, it comes with 160mm made-in-India dual mechanical disc brakes by Bolids that also have an auto safety cut-off feature on both brakes, which means when applying the brakes, it cuts off the motor from surging ahead.

Additional Features:

Additionally, the company has upgraded its horn and headlight. With NVC, the company used to provide separate horn and headlight which were not integrated with the bike itself. But now with the new Fire Edition, you will get an integrated horn and headlight with dedicated switches. In addition, new stylish a pair of mudguards can also be seen in this new edition. Apart from these the bike also has an ignition key to start the bike. So without permission, no one can access your bike in your absence. The company is also providing accessories like a tool kit, and a wired lock for additional safety.

Verdict:

So on paper, the new Fire Edition looks quite promising, there are many visible changes and improvements that can be seen on this bike which undoubtedly helps the bike to perform much better than the NVC. Even the bike has loaded with almost all the basic features a standard ebike should have. The after-sales service is also good and the same can be expected with the Fire Edition.

But still, there are few things which could have been better. First, the bike comes with a 3A charger for all its variants which is a bit slower for a 20Ah battery. So instead of a 3A charger, the company should provide a 5A fast charger for a bigger battery option. Second, the graphics and branding could have been improved. The font is used for the branding doesn’t go with its look makes the bike look cheap. Other than this, the company should improve its wire management, a few of the parts looks messy and spoil the look of the bike. So this needs to be improved as well.
