by Mumbai based Indian electric bicycle company 29motors has introduced 3 new e-bikes Cafe Racer, Cafe Racer Plus and Cafe Racer Army Edition. These bikes are manufactured in India only and can be serviced in regular bicycle shops and electric parts don’t require maintenance.
Design And Build Quality:
Cafe Racer series is basically designed and engineered according to Indian Roads. The design of the bikes is not like a standard e-bike, rather it comes with a unique design and received the best design award in the design of E-bike 2019 in India.
The chassis is made of high carbon steel which is durable and rust proof. The total weight of the bike is 22 to 25kgs including battery and other components.
Motor And Battery:
All the three bikes run on a powerful 250w motor and has a maximum speed of 25kmph. The motor is powered by a high capacity 36v/10.4Ah powerful removable lithium-ion battery and it needs only 4 hours to charged and the bikes can travel up to 40 to 60kms on a single charge.
Gears And Brakes:
Cafe Racer doesn’t come with gears, so it is a great pick for those who wants an e-bike without gears. But still if you need gears then you have to buy their pro version Cafe Racer Plus and The Army Edition. Both the bikes come with a Shimano 21 speed gears.
For the braking system, all the three bikes use 160mm dual mechanical disc brakes, ensuring great braking control on Indian roads.
Wheels And Suspension:
All the models have 26″ standard wheels and combined with ENHANCED WIRE BEAD RALSON wide tires. Whereas the rims are crafted by alloy and all the bikes sport high-performance front suspension for a smooth and jerky free riding.
Other Specification:
Other than these all the models come with an unique feature called invisible bells, which is not like a normal bell we usually see on an Indian cycle. The bell is mounted on the handle bar and operate like a throttle.
Except the Cafe Racer, Cafe Racer plus and the Army Edition feature a high intensity LED headlamp and a key switch throttle with battery level indicator.
Cafe Racer Army Edition:
The Army Edition is the company’s limited edition e-bike. The bike is basically designed to dedicate the Indian Army and each has its own unique identity with serial number.
